There’s nothing like a fall drive to cottage country. Especially when we’re headed to Pinestone Resort in Haliburton to document two love birds tying the knot. Amanda and Jeff’s wedding was held on the perfect fall weekend — all the leaves changing to golden and crimson hues, but it was still clear and warm. We joked that it might have been the nicest day of the summer!
Amanda picked the most stunning dress from Kleinfeld’s. So gorgeous on the gazebo in the early morning light.
Equally awesome: sparkly shoes on the leaf-covered path to the cabin where Amanda, her bridesmaids, and her mom were getting ready…
We haven’t seen a more relaxed but excited bride than Amanda. When we arrived at her cabin door, she was having a massage, but lifted up her head to greet us and give us a big smile. No exaggeration.
It was time to get down to business though . . .
Meanwhile, Jeff had his clothes laid out and ready to go. You’ll note the outfit change. Jeff is an RCMP officer and his work has taken him and Amanda to live on the east coast, far away from friends and family. Jeff, thoughtful guy that he is, decided not to wear his serge for the ceremony though as he didn’t want to take any attention at all away from his beautiful bride. Jeff’s mom was disappointed that he wouldn’t be wearing his serge so he decided to surprise her by wearing the serge when he and Amanda made their big entrance later in the evening (such a sweet guy — just wait for his mom’s epic reaction).
Back in Amanda’s cabin, a delivery arrived — a cute card, flowers, and some big wooly socks from Jeff (just to ensure that Amanda didn’t get cold feet).
Amanda got all of her bridal party and her mom matching robes for hanging out together on the morning of the wedding.
And after a little help from her bridesmaids and mom, Amanda headed off across the property for her first look with Jeff.
So much happiness…
Gorgeous wildflowers with a family heirloom tied in …
The only moment of nerves from Amanda all day — Amanda’s grandfather about to open the car down for her at the church. This just got real.
Welcome to the family, Jeff.
Amanda and Jeff worked closely with Jessie Stamp, Pinestone’s ah-mazing wedding coordinator, to realize their vision of their big day. Beautiful job!!
Jeff and Amanda’s entrance as Mr. and Mrs. …
And Jeff’s mom’s reaction…
If you’re going to dress in your uniform, you should definitely inspect your bridal party. No one was spared the public shaming. Priceless.
A little romance.
A whole lot of laughs.
Rocking air guitar.
Amanda and her dad wanted to do something a little different. There would be no standard, sentimental father-daughter dance for them. Instead, they busted some serious moves in a choreographed dance together.
Then the party really got started.
Amanda and Jeff — thanks for such a fun, emotional day. We had a blast with you two and your families and friends!
