We first met John and Antonella for coffee at Bloor and Islington; since then we’ve had the chance to get to know both of them very well. We even had the chance to hang out with John and Antonella up at John’s family cottage near Barrie for some fantastic BBQ – whipped up by John himself no less.
Several months later, we had an absolute blast spending John and Antonella’s wedding day with them, their families, and their friends. Antonella went above and beyond, preparing the unique and beautiful details for her wedding. Enough chat though, more pictures . . .
Antonella had her amazing dress designed and made by her soon-to-be sister-in-law Taessa of Taessa Chorny Apparel. Paired with the McQueens, John’s Pradas and his slash back suit (David Bowie eat your heart out!), fantastic. Talk about style.
Of course, here are those details we mentioned earlier. For months on end leading up to the wedding, Antonella was on a vintage-inspired DIY mission — pulling together items from flea markets and antique shops and making them her own. From tea cups turned into candles, an old typewriter, windows turned into seating charts, to an incredible cake topper from decades ago, Antonella really set the bar high.
