Jocelyn + Richard {George Brown House Wedding Photography}

Jocelyn and Richard decided that they wanted a small and intimate wedding.  Only their closest friends and family and their favourite things.      whitewhite ii

Every single one of Jocelyn’s details reflected her own sense of style.

Speaking of what Richard and Jocelyn love, the embroidery inside Richard’s jacket is a Hungarian / English mash up of Princess Leia and Han Solo’s famous lines:  “I love you.” “I know.”style v

With all the finishing touches done, we made our way to the rooftop of Richard and Jocelyn’s apartment for their first look.first look i

Jocelyn and Richard had searched the city high and low for something with a classic and charming feel for their ceremony location.  After a long search, they finally settled on George Brown House.  We always love the reaction of the kids to seeing normally much more casual aunty all dressed up.

The George Brown House ceremony space was absolutely stunning.

As we described, Jocelyn and Richard wanted to keep their wedding as personal and unique as possible. It’s no surprise that Jocelyn had the wedding programs printed with paper airplane patterns on them. Instead of confetti or rice, Richard and Jocelyn were showered with paper airplanes.  What a fantastic idea!

Back inside for a few pictures framed by the massive picture windows and the grand staircase.  Richard and Jocelyn are big fans of some of the more gothic shows running on TV right now, so, we had planned out some moodier shots.

Jocelyn and Richard had also asked us if it would be possible to find some fall colours.  This is one of our favourite places along Toronto’s beltline.  Eye-level with the fall colours of the forest’s canopy.great out open i

Jocelyn and Richard LOVE pizza.  So it came as a surprise to no one that they decided to reserve Pizza e Pazzi for their reception.  We also adore pizza, so this may have been the one most interesting (and delicious) receptions we’ve ever seen.  We couldn’t resist snapping away at all of the Napoletana details.

Keeping with their personal DIY theme, Jocelyn made their guestbook herself.  She created a scrapbook of important moments in their relationship and interspersed these personal pages with blank pages for guests to share their congratulations and well wishes.  Given that we have our own travel scrapbooks, we instantly fell in love.  history

After an amazing pizza dinner, Jocelyn and Richard had their first dance at the back of the restaurant, with all of Pizza e Pazzi’s industrial lights glowing behind them.  What a perfect end to a perfect day.first dance
