Kim + Wayne {Engagement Photography}

We had an absolute blast shooting Kim and Wayne’s engagement session! Not only are they easy going, fun-loving people who are totally in love, they were really excited about their shoot.

In the lead up to an engagement shoot, we always provide our couples with some tips so that they get the most of it — we always want to ensure that it’s personal and fun, and that we create beautiful, original photos that they’ll love. Kim and Wayne sent us a bunch of inspiration images and brought with them a host of items that they thought would make for interesting images and that had a special significance to their relationship.

Bride and groom-to-be drinks from Starbucks — perfect to cool down on a warm afternoon, and for a few photos!

As is typical in Toronto in the summer, there were a caravan of film trucks parked along the street. We often see beauty in unusual places; this is one of them that Mark spotted:

Just goofing around, down an alley with some of the props that Kim and Wayne brought!

One of the most important parts of Kim and Wayne’s lives together is their four-year-old daughter, Stella. Stella was a bit shy with us at first, but once Kim and Wayne got the bubbles out, we were fast friends.

We headed over to Corus Quay for some cuddly picture of Kim and Wayne…

Back at Sherbourne Commons, an amazing urban park, for some more play time. All we can say about this series of photos is poor Wayne — Stella really gave him a spin!

With the sun setting, we headed over to Sugar Beach for some photos of Kim and Wayne in the pretty, soft light…

We had such a great time with you, Kim and Wayne (and Stella!). Can’t wait for your wedding this fall!
