Laura and Darren’s engagement shoot makes us smile. Ear to ear. How often do we get essentially two shoots in one? A relaxed contemporary shoot followed by a gorgeous vintage one with retro props and accessories. And who can resist a man in uniform?!
Laura is an avid birdwatcher and she and Darren often go on long walks together near their house in the Scarborough Bluffs. It only made sense then that they picked a location near and dear to their hearts for their shoot. We love it when our couples pick something personal to them. Somewhere they feel at ease. So they can be themselves. In love. In this case, playing on the beach and in the tall grasses.
Darren is a Commanding Officer in the Canadian Forces and decided to wear his uniform for part of the shoot. Laura picked the perfect vintage dress, gloves, purse and shoes. We had them wade into the wildflowers for a timeless and oh so romantic feel.
Dance with your love in a field of wildflowers.
Vintage suitcases and cameras. Love it!
Curl up. Snuggle in.
A walk to the top of the Bluffs at sunset. A kiss.
Thanks you two for sharing so much of yourselves in the shoot and for putting in so much care and thought into the planning. We had such a great time with you and can’t wait for your wedding this fall!
