Liz and Joe had their engagement shoot on one of the coldest day of the winter; strangely, their wedding fell on one of the coldest days of the spring. No matter. These two are so warm, personable, and fun (not to mention in love!) that you (almost) forgot. It also didn’t hurt that they chose beautiful venues: getting ready at the Royal York downtown, with their candlelight wedding ceremony held at the Arta Gallery in the Distillery District. Amazing sense of style these two!
Seriously, how beautiful is this dress?!?! Warning, we’re going to overboard here.
And, tell us, how cute is it when you compare the two dresses???
And, of course, what would a bride’s dress showcase be without the rings to follow it up . .
One of the things that we love about shooting together is that we have the opportunity to split up and be at two places at once. Naomi spent some time with Liz while she was getting her hair and make up done:
Meanwhile, Mark headed to Liz and Joe’s suite to shoot some candids of the guys getting ready, throwing in a few portraits as well:
Once Liz headed back to the suite where she was getting ready, we both took some shots of Liz putting on the finishing touches and of Liz’s sister and maid of honour, Ashley, helping Liz put on her (stunning!) dress:
Liz and Joe’s wedding ceremony was very personal and unique as they did their vows in sign language:
Liz and Joe are so expressive and really wear their hearts on their sleeves for all the world to see. It was so much fun to photograph their reactions during the speeches:
Once the ceremony and speeches were done, Liz and Joe had their first dance and then the party really got started:
This is what love looks like . . .
And this is what fun looks like . .
One more iconic kiss before the end of the night:
Congratulations, Liz and Joe!!
