A beautiful sunny late spring day. Relaxing mornings with family and friends. A surprise honeymoon location. A traditional Coptic wedding ceremony. Portraits at the Doctor’s House and McMichael Gallery. A fabulous vintage car. Gorgeous blush and gold decor. Emotional speeches. Mira and Mina’s wedding day was an unforgettable one.
Mira and Mina began their wedding day on opposite ends of the city, each in their family homes. While Mira had her hair and makeup done, we began to photograph her gorgeous dress and accessories.
Mina surprised Mira by leaving a number of gifts staged to be given to her throughout the morning. So sweet!
This was the one we had all been waiting for though. It revealed the location of Mira and Mina’s honeymoon. You read that correctly: Mina selected and booked the honeymoon and it was a total surprise for Mira. Mina certainly did an amazing job — what an exotic locale!
Meanwhile, Mina and his groomsmen were getting ready at his mom’s place.
There was no shortage of laughs and horsing around.
Before getting into her dress and doing a reveal for her parents and bridesmaids, Mira took a few quiet moments to herself.
In no time at all, it was time to head to the church.
Mira rode to the church with her dad in the gorgeous Austin Princess. They could not have looked more excited.
Mina was nothing short of overjoyed at seeing Mira walking down the aisle towards him.
Although we have documented a number of Orthodox ceremonies, this was the first Coptic wedding ceremony we photographed. The ceremony was very beautiful and we felt honoured to be part of it.
Bubbles for the recession are our favorite.
After the ceremony, we spent some time with Mira and Mina at the Doctor’s House and McMichael Gallery.
Mina’s trusty Instax camera is always at hand. For this one though, Mina wanted something he could immediately share with family and friends. We captured this of him snapping a shot of Mira that we had set up.
We loved this next set of Mira and Mina with the Austin!
Back at the Doctor’s House, the Grand Ballroom was decked out in blush and gold. Absolutely gorgeous!
The sweet table made us laugh — Mira is a dentist so couldn’t resist including some toothbrushes for the guests along with the treats.
Time for their first dance as husband and wife.
There were laughs and there were tears. Mira and Mina’s families gave such heartfelt and heartwarming speeches.
Mina let us borrow his camera for one last shot of the rings.
Mira and Mina — thanks so much for choosing us to document your wedding. It was such a memorable day!
