Pavlena + Greg {Wedding Photography}

We were out at Cave Springs and Inn on the Twenty with Pav and Greg to capture their absolutely beautiful, if not a little stormy, vineyard wedding!

Doesn’t the city seem so far away when you’re standing amongst the vines. We certainly love to travel, any excuse for a road trip.

Inn on the Twenty has a lovely intimate room for bridal prep.

Of course, leave it to Pav to shake things up a little with a nice bottle of champagne for her girls!

As soon as we saw this lion when we arrived, we knew we had to work it into the photos somehow.

There will be a lot of Pav’s dress to come, but for the moment, let’s just admire the shape and flare.

Another “must include” element at Inn on the Twenty: the ‘ladies’ china (with Pav’s wedding jewelry).

Pav decided to pair her gorgeous dress with a very stylish birdcage.

Isn’t she just unbelievably beautiful?! Once the birdcage was in place, we had a little calm before the storm to take this and the sneak peak we posted.

Pav and Greg opted for a first look. As you know, we always recommend a first look unless there are cultural reasons to forgo it. A first look gives the couple a private chance to say hello before the ceremony. Typically, our couples who choose to go with a first look are getting ready close to each other and in a completely private setting when they first catch sight of each other. This allows us to capture dramatic, personal (often emotional!) reactions then and when the couple see each other down the aisle with all of their friends and family watching.

After the first look, we whisked Greg and Pav over to the Cave Springs cellars to take some bridal portraits.

Pav and Greg really enjoyed hamming it up for us.

Even Greg had a chance to strike a pose or two . . .

After the first look, we drove the short distance to the Cave Springs vineyard for the ceremony. We couldn’t resist posting this pic of one of the ring bearers just a little stressed out from all of the attention.

Did we mention that it was cold, cold and rainy?

The trooper that Pav is, she insisted that the ceremony be set up outside. Cave Springs had set up an interior alternative, but Pav committed to an outdoor ceremony, and had the vineyard move all of the chairs outside right at the point of no return. The weather be damned.

Just as Pav started to walked down the aisle the rain decided to ease up. Of course it did!

Moments after the kiss, the wind picked up and the rain started up again.

Pav and Greg decided to get married at a vineyard so that they could have wedding pictures amongst the vines. We suggested that perhaps if we waited just a little the rain would clear. It worked!

How could we resist this photo?

As a little celebration, the girls decided to toss their bouquets up in the air and we took this shot from a unique point of view. We promise that only one bouquet was mortally injured during the shooting of this photo. We won’t say which bridesmaid is responsible . . . butterfingers!

Back at Inn on the Twenty, we persuaded the wait staff to lend us a bucket of corks for this shot we had been thinking about!
