We were out tracking the gorillas at the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, taking a break for lunch.
This girl, who couldn’t have been much over 10, was in charge of both her brother, who was likely about 6, and somewhere around 30 head of cattle.
Very astute, she stopped about 40 feet from us. Standing up on this little rock for a short while, she waited until some members of our group gave her a chocolate bar or two.
Then she moved on with her life, herding cattle, and we moved on with ours, eating our lunches. Silly.
