Although the rain threatened, in the end it was a perfect warm summer day on the fairways and down the aisle.
Vivian and D’Arcy were married at the venerable Toronto Golf Club, one of the oldest courses in North America. We couldn’t wait to take Vivian and D’Arcy to our favourite spots amongst the grand trees and wild fescue.
The Toronto Golf Club provided Vivian and D’Arcy with separate suites to get ready in. The excitement in the girls’ room was palatable.
We had prepared a guest book for Vivian and D’Arcy. We love watching our couples get excited by our photographs!
Vivian’s something borrowed was truly unique. D’Arcy’s family lent her an heirloom that is usually on display in a U.S. museum. Stunning.
Meanwhile, down the hall, the guys had a different kind of morning. A beer and clubhouse sandwich kind of morning.
A few finishing touches before the first look.
Vivian was incredibly effusive and has a great sense of humour. We’ve had romantic first looks, tearful first looks and quiet first looks. This was a little different. Vivian seized the chance to make D’Arcy jump!
After a few more romantic moments, it was time to make it official.
Naomi found her way to the roof of the breezeway for some unique angles of the procession.
We all hoped into golf carts to head to a more secluded part of the course to shoot a few portraits in the late afternoon sun.
All we had to do was mention the giant willow and Vivian and D’Arcy were game for a few more shots en route to their reception. An almost perfect sunset.
